Montpellier Walk

Montpellier WalkMixed media on board in white frame. "In my new series of Cheltenham paintings, I have combined layers of collage with acrylic paint and ink. I start with random pieces of news print and sewing patterns then splash and spray with acrylic inks to give an underpainting of exciting marks and vibrant colour. I create the composition using the edges of pieces of card dipped in ink, before adding in the sky and foreground with sponges and semi opaque paint.
