SOLD..........A little cardboard box inset under glass with a dog. c1820A small turquoise blue box with applied paper trim. The lid is fitted with glass which sandwiches a wax? dog on a painted ground with fronds of moss. Typically it would have contained sweets and is French. c 1820 In excellent condition with light age related wear. 6. 5 x 4. 5 x 3cm (2. 5 x 1. 75 x 1. 25 inches) Stock no. KN25

The inlay is all present and there is no damage but the shell has a wrinkled / crocodile skin effect possibly the result of a layer of old lacquer

In good condition-no damage but with chips on the base made during manufacture where the columns are fixed

There is the French Parisian silver mark of a boar's head just above the decoration
