Russia in the late 1990s

The combination of the incredibly well-formed faces against the skeletal / "hoppered" formations of the twin itself is striking and very well-pronounced in this specimen

one can see a sparkling spherical aggregate of Marcasite on the top (or bottom depending upon the angle) of the twin

but perhaps the most interesting aspect of the crystals is that they are notably rounded as if they had been water-worn (alluvial)

with that gorgeous antique patina and a slightly reddish hue on the surface
