SOLD……..A Georgian silver stock buckle. 18thcA Georgian silver stock buckle with a spot and wavy line patterned frame and three rivets on the chape. The maker's mark is unclear possibly over stamped as the other one on the buckle looks the same. Possibly a B? then W. The lion silver assay mark is clear. In excellent condition no damage, 4 x 3cm Stock no. LD50

The push button brass catch opens it to reveal space for a few rings or other trinkets French c 1870

A leather case mounted with a print of two girls dancing

The silver is stamped with the maker's initials IS (John Lias)  and the assay mark

An attractive lacquered papier mâché snuff box profusely hand painted with Persian scenes

13 cm 5 inches

It is finely made and in excellent condition with a cut steel slider and beaded tassels

The pearl is carved with a double flower head and drilled with stars around the edge

No makers marks but there is a number 2 cut into the steel near the rivet on each blade

An unusual pair of Scottish silver shoe buckles marked for Glasgow circa 1760-1799 ( the town mark changed to a square outline in 1800 ) The maker's mark is hard to make out but looks like JI or possibly JL
