Valandraud Blanc

Valandraud BlancThe 2012 Valandraud Blanc is Murielle Andraud's more textured white. Made from the estate's best fruit and vinified in barrel, the Blanc is quite a bit richer than the Virginie de Valandraud. Here the textures are rich, sensual and inviting, with an extra kick of gravitas that propels the powerful, resonant finish. Even with all of its intensity, the Blanc retains gorgeous freshness. Quite deeply colored

The relatively generously proportioned medium weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality on the very dry and youthfully austere finish that also possesses a touch of bitter citrus character

and eight single-vineyard wines claim this provenance

this is a stunner of a wine with still plenty of upside potential remaining

a note of cedary oak and lovely subtle length

there is little difference between the aromatics on this and Les Forts de Latour

cedar wood and a rich

Like several wines in the range the medium-bodied flavors possess good detail and an appealing vibrancy with good muscle

weight and density while managing to remain relatively light on their feet on the slightly stony and hugely long finish

The wine is closed for now

and this vintage does a great job of packaging it all together
