1984 Omega Seamaster Calypso 120M Vintage Mens Quartz Watch, Date - Stainless Steel & PVDBefore the days of DLC coating became very fashionable, Omega experimented a bit with putting PVD coating on some of their Seamaster Calypso watches. This model was already an uncommon one unless you're a true ardent fan of 80's quartz era Seamasters you probably haven't yet heard of the Calypso, as very few of them were made. Besides looking cool, PVD or DLC Diamond like carbon coating provides an extra strong surface protection to the finish.

It is all original down to the original dial

One very light remnant of a case wrench mark on the back

Dimensions: 16mm in diameter (excluding the crown)

Case condition: Mint - wonderful full beefy lugs that have not been overly polished

Made for less than three years

: One of our watchmakers has freshly disassembled its very fine handwound movement down to the last screw and cleaned and oiled the movement

Powering the watch is its caliber 471 movement

The case back has a few marks on each corner from a watchmakers servicing and has been previously significantly polished - on the wrist it presents as mint

This special example has been previously aftermarket set (not by Cartier) with a full diamond bezel and full diamond lugs
