Georgian Sapphire RingExquisite Georgian ring set with a dreamy cornflower blue sapphire. The ring is beautifully detailed: the shoulders intricately engraved with abstract floral and foliate motifs, the band is fluted as was typical of the period, and little scrolled flourishes frame the stone. The cushion cut sapphire displays a wonderful, watery cornflower blue tone and rests in a simple collet setting. It's English, dating from the early 19th century circa 1800 and
was celebrated from 28th April to 3rd May each year
