A slim 12ct yellow gold bar set with a rich textured golden Swallow bird in flight. The Swallow is shouldered each side by a magical glowing moonstone cabochon, each claw set in a slightly raised mount, Moonstone are said to bring feelings of love, affection and power to the wearer. Swallow were also given as a sign of love and affection and amongst other things they represented safe

It has a base metal pin and an c type clasp fastener which protrudes slightly from the brooch

a repair to one side near the claw and this has caused discolouration to the end moonstone

It has a smooth yellow gold band with heavy tapering shoulders

They have a hexagonal shape with an inset carved onyx stone fronting each

so much detailing in this one

this has some small dents and is fairly weak so could be replaced
