Hobbs Gregor Amarone ShirazEstate grown shiraz picked and semi dried on racks in the appassimento method. A deeply coloured, aromatically dense wine that shows plenty of intense plum, prune and dark cherry notes underscored by hints of baking spices, grilled figs, cedar, espresso, panforte, roasting meats and earthy, ferrous tones. Deep and resonant with plush, meaty fruits, a touch of pastis and plenty of powdery tannins and fruit impact. It thunders off into the distance.
