A Man, called Michel BaronThe sitter, traditionally called Molire, has more recently been identified as Michel Baron (1653 1729), an actor in Molire's company. However, he does not greatly resemble the sitter in Jean de Troy's portrait of Baron at the Comdie Francaise, Paris. Formerly catalogued as School of Le Brun; the attribution to Lefebvre was proposed by Boyer.
