We hammered them to add shine and sparkle. They are a comfortable and attractive earring in a classic style. These disc earrings are made by us here in Oregon, so they're USA artisan made and handcrafted. We've textured them with a hammer. given them a convex dome shape, and tumble polished them for shine and strength. These domed discs are approx 19 mm
