SOLD……….. 5 antique sulphides depicting classical figures. c1800These are 5 antique sulphides cameos of unglazed white porcelain encased in transparent glass set against a dark background. They date to c1800 and look to have been removed from settings as the backs show signs of wear glue. Four are in excellent condition but the largest shows lighter areas where the backing has separated from the glass. The largest measures 2 x 1. 5 cm The smallest 1 x 1. 2cm Stock no. GD39

One of the more unusual silver thimbles with a steel core- a Little Dorcas

The box measures 18 cm x 10

It is mounted in gilt metal and is in good condition with no damage

The purple velvet cushion on top has lost its nap but otherwise the tape / emery / waxer sections are in excellent condition

In excellent condition especially considering its age

It is in good condition and-as it has a steel core- is free from holes

There is the French Parisian silver mark of a boar's head just above the decoration

The long silver barrel would have held a stick of graphite called a wad

It has a stem and circular base under the round cup and is worked on every surface
