Vintage Railroad Caboose Wall Mounted Oil Lantern 17" T x 8" W GS00091This is a great vintage railroad lantern which was used generally on the caboose of a train for lighting. The square back tank has an removable oil reservoir that feeds into the burner assembly at the front. *There is a turn dial on the right side which is currently in need of adjusting as it is not turning the wick up or down. Each sconce measures 12" tall with a 9" projection

Wired and ready to install

Each caster base measures 2 1/8" x 1 7/8" with a 2" wheel

They can be polished or painted

They have plenty of space for documenting each time a new measurement is done

All are 6" in diameter (top and bottom ends measured)

These doors were recently stripped of many layers of paint and sanded

The top wood base has reclaimed bowling alley flooring which was cut to size then coated with spar urethane

Note: some straightening is still needed in a few areas

This large primitive rim lock has three ornate iron hinge tabs
