SSHSFMHeatShield Fireplace Mortar is dry mix refractory mortar designed for use in indoor residential fireplaces and masonry heaters. Because it is a dry mix, it can be mixed for dipping, grouting, and laying firebrick. After firing (use), the mortar becomes non water soluble. This mortar is extremely sticky and thermal shock resistant with service temperatures tested up to 2550 degrees F (1399 degrees C).
