Whilst its name might be a nod towards historic diplomatic ties, the whisky itself is something distinctively new. Nose: Warm and fiery, softened with sweet honey and vibrant fruits. Palate: A mouth covering palate that expands gradually. At first sour mash, balanced with treacle and maple syrup. Toffee and honey, sweet yet smoky. Finish: Short but lingering, fiery and sweet.
