The name fluorite comes from its use as a flux

It rarely occurs in crystal form but is often found in botryoidal or fibrous formations

These incredible collector’s pieces – each one of a kind – feature massive semitransparent calcite crystals

accentuating the clear sea green of the superb quality crystals

many of which feature coatings of fine

sometimes in the same formations

Each contains at least one (most several) clearly visible insect

it is not uncommon for insects and other small animals to become trapped within tree sap

which means it naturally occurs in its metallic form
