The watch chain is designed for the gentleman's pocket watch which would have sat in his top waist coat pocket. The chain has lion hallmarks on each link on the chain indicating the piece is 'sterling silver'. The albert clip is hallmarked with the makers mark 'EW&S', Lion and Letter 'b'. The letter 'b' indicated the piece dates back to 1901. A pocket watch and chain is an excellent addition for a groom
