Matched Pair Sovtek 6BQ5 EL84 Vacuum Tubes NOS-TestingThis new old stock testing matched pair of Sovtek 6BQ5 EL84 6P14 6P14P output tubes was tested on our Maxi Matcher 2 with 325 volts on the plates and a bias of 14 volts for shorts, gas and transconductance. There were no shorts or gas. Transconductance measured 7460 micromhos for Tube One and 7770 for Tube Two. Plate current draw was 25. 1 milliamps for Tube One and 27. 4 for Tube Two. (New EL84s typically test from the mid 20s to mid 30s with
side D-getters and excellent flashing
