The Cool S Gem, 38ct Lab RubyThis is a custom faceted lab ruby cut in my new 'Coolest S' design! The stone weighs in at 38 carats. Is there any S cooler than the cool S? No, obviously not. Also known as the Universal S, Super S or any other number of regional variations, anyone from my generation and hopefully after doodled these on whiteboards and notebooks throughout our youth. Whatever you called it, it truly is universal.
These are lab created moissanite facet rough with light inclusions
but every now and then growth goes wrong and a crystal will have some afterglow
including needle
throwing rainbows with the slightest provocation
one of our cutters came across some material and really wanted to cut it
we call these 'strawberry sapphires' since they have seeds
5 so it should not be used in rings or other high-wear jewelry
Note that the smaller squares can sometimes be a bit more trapezoidal
They do look cool though
and will show flashes of multiple colors under mixed lighting
timeless look that can blend into any occasion
either by a lamp or by another laser
