A silver thimble with applied stars. c1870. French.A French silver thimble with a pattern of applied stars and a shield. It has a decorated rim and is marked with a boar's head for silver assayed in Paris. c1870. In fair condition no holes or repairs but it has extensive needle scratching particularly by the single star on the back. It's not obvious to the naked eye but is there. Height just over 2cm Finger aperture 14mm Stock no. R05

The chape and prongs are made of unmarked silver too

An attractive carved pearl tape measure with gilt 'beaded' columns between the top and base

The case is in excellent order with just light scuffing to the leather

The knife is in good condition- no damage to the pearl but there is a natural area in the shell at the base of the handle which is whiter than the rest (see last photo)

It has its original spangle including some square cuts glass beads

Decorated with red and blue spots and drilled with the name 'William'

A commemorative bone lace bobbin with lettering which spirals up from the base-

They haven't been mounted but were kept in an early advertising box for Brown Windsor Soap c1830

There is a small chip on the internal screw but the case does close

In excellent condition except for the loss of one of the tabs holding the lead pencil
