Victorian Stars & Shells BandGorgeous gold band set with a row of three old mine cut diamonds flush set in carved star settings with delicately engraved shoulders resembling seashells. The diamonds are bright and icy white, complemented beautifully by the buttery 18 carat gold of the band which has taken on a wonderful soft patina over the years. Made in Birmingham, England, in 1892. The scallop shell is of course a symbol of Venus Aphrodite, the Greco Roman goddess of love and

The stone is marvellous: a six-pointed star shimmers and dances around the surface as the light moves across it

was the first established nursery in Exeter and is where the Lucombe Oak was discovered
