Penfolds Bin 138 Barossa Valley GSMBin 138 draws its inspiration from the wines of Southern Rhne, where shiraz, grenache and mataro (mourvdre) are blended in varying proportions to create full bodied wines possessing rich and heady perfume. Each year fruit for Bin 138 is sourced from old Barossa Valley vines (some more than 100 years old). On the nose it surprises by it's intense notes of berries and floral aromas with reminiscences of strawberry

The alcohol fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26/28 °C for 10-12 days of peel maceration using recovery techniques
