It is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre (this is sometimes a split of Syrah and Mourvedre) thats aged mostly in 1-2-and 3-year-old
tobacco and baking spices
It shows gorgeous mid-palate pliancy and depth through to the round
They produced their first wine in 1999 using the Castro Ventosa facilities thanks to Raul Perez until they had their small winery in Villafranca del Bierzo
Somewhat more moderate wood and menthol characters are present on the spicy liqueur-like aromas of plum
