These enormous rays come into the shallows and circle over certain patches of reef where cleaner fish live. The small fish come out and eat the dead scales and algae growing on the Manta. So after a few bumps and bruises

we spent a lot of time photographing the mom and calf and didn't realize that the male escort started getting restless

we were drawn to this particular scene by a tiny transparent Pacific Clown Anemone Shrimp that was just beautiful

it was a very cool and unforgettable experience
