SOLD…..A Georgian silver stock buckle. Maker's mark ML. c1780-1810A gent's silver stock buckle with a 4 stud attachment. The back is hall marked and has the maker's mark in italics ML which research shows it to be a London silversmith called Thomas Wallis II despite his initials being different. c1780 1810 5. 5 x 3cm 2 x 1 inches In excellent condition no damage or repair. This book tells its story from its sinking in 1782 using eye witness accounts to its recovery in 1840 when all the relics were created from its timber and copper

The mounts are made of gilt metal with a cross hatched pattern as a seal rather than an intaglio
