SOLD….Four decorative Victorian bone lace bobbins.Four 19th century mutton bone lace bobbins 1. Decorated with red and blue stripes. 2. Decorated with inlaid pewter spots. 3. Decorated with coloured slashes. 4. Decorated with brass wire. All four have their original spangles. In excellent condition. Stock no. KV07c

In good condition- some patination and light pitting

Decorated with red and blue spots and drilled with the name 'William'

There's also a piece of cloth for the loose needles which is both glued and tied in

In excellent condition- no loose threads or wear but with a small stain on the reverse

All the accessories are original to the piece

hieroglyphics and a winged scarab beetle

It is still likely to be French but possibly of a later date c1850

The suspension ring is dragooned as is the frame of the lens and there is a little floral band in the centre of the handle

Inside it is lined in blue velvet so it probably contained a glass bottle originally and was taken home as a souvenir perhaps bought at the hotel illustrated
