SOLD…….A set of agate handled writing tools. c 1870Three agate handled writing tools in their original leatherette case. The tools are a dip pen, a pencil and a blade. The orange stone handles are in perfect condition and are mounted with chrome fittings. c1870 In excellent condition the pencil has lead and the dip pen has a metal nib. The case measures 16. 5 x 5. 5cm ( 6. 5 x 2. 25 inches ) Pen 15cm pencil 12. 5cm Bladed tool 15cm Stock no. KL05
In the back there's a stitched band meant for scissors

In excellent condition with no fading of colour
The spine is leather and there's a red and cream cord which closes over the case to keep it shut which would have been slightly elasticated originally
The decorated lid hinges up releasing the brass mechanism which can then be extended revealing the red silk interior
It is backed by linen
The threader is 8 cm long
