SOLD.....A pair of silver 'bird' handled scissors and sheath. c 1830-1840A pair of early Victorian scissors with embossed silver handles decorated with birds and flowers. There is also a matching silver blade sheath. English c 1830 1840. In excellent condition no damage. 10. 5cm long 4cm across the finger rings. Stock no. KS42

In excellent condition-no damage- the cover has to be rotated to fit back on otherwise it is very tight

There is a small repair to the top right corner where the pin hinge broke through the surface

The fancy gilt mount has a wing nut which fixes the steel hook into position

Two are a pair- identical in size

In very good condition- just a very minor chip on the top edge of the stopper and fleabites around the base

The clip is pierced and the four chains are made up of oval facetted steel links

It was probably made as a tour de force of the needle woman who made it rather than for any practical purpose as the pins show no sign of ever being removed and replaced

An emery cushion mounted as a Tunbridge Ware kettle

Examples in good condition are hard to find

The side is carved and painted with flowers and the phrase  'A Present from Cheltenham'
