Antique Japanese Military Hokkaido Soldier Comfort Item Metal Postcard BoxThis is an antique Japanese military postcard box, decorated on the cover with a map of Hokkaido and the southern part of Sakhalin. There's a star on the map of Hokkaido, with the big words "7th Division Soldier Comfort Department" and top right "This comfort item is made and gifted by the Shima civilian soldier support group". I presume Shima is the place of the star, although modern maps don't seem to have this place anymore. Inside the box is an

The tray is made of lacquered wood

The words on the back of the cup are "Kanetani Village Branch 4th Platoon Flag Establishment Ceremony Commemoration"
