An early 19th century keepsake pin cushion. c1800.A Georgian gift from a friend or beau a home made pin cushion. The diamond shaped sides are made from carboard with gold paper trim on the edges and decorated with little stars and spots. There are two printed labels one reads 'Trifles Shew Respect' and the other 'Never Forget Me'. The two sides are bound with dark green silk. c1800 6. 5 x 4cm In very good condition some minor faults to the gilt stars and the background card is a little spotted but

The steel end is a typical spade shape

An attractive silver piece none the less embossed with flowers and leaves

It is a stand alone thimble and not part of a combination piece

The back is plain rosewood

They are carved and shaped- one as a cricket bat and another as a fish
