Philippe Pacalet, Pommard(from Les Trois Follots, Les Vaumuriens, Rugiens Hauts villages and La Vache). Ripe and very fresh aromas blend notes of red and dark pinot fruit with those of violet and cool earth. There is outstanding intensity to the rather refined medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere finish that also could use a bit more depth to achieve the upper end of my projected range.

This is also still very much on the way up and while the excellent level of dry extract would allow this to be enjoyed now
