The CurveFrom Ollie Clarke: Oceanic manta rays aren't often sighted on the Ningaloo, unlike their cousins the reef manta. This was one of the best encounters I've ever had with these magnificent animals. On tour with @oceanecoadventures

These tails help the whale shark steer their huge bodies even in the crushing waters of the deep

and the only discernible aspect are the dots that betray the whale shark’s identity

so that we do not lose these gentle giants of the ocean

penguins like to huddle around and raise their body temperatures

no matter how many times i see one

bright red beings grow to make fantastical figurative formations

its ventral grooves glowing as sunlight streams through the water

This vulture of the Antarctic was completely fearless and basically chased me around the reef for an hour until he got bored and cruised off

Coral bleaching events are becoming more frequent in modern times putting the tropical reefs under enormous pressure

I really hope that future generations are able to experience the beauty of these and other sharks

to remain unmoving from their position
