SOLD…….Five steel studded mother of pearl buttons. 19thcFive attractive carved mother of pearl buttons with cut steel studs set in a gilt metal frame which is riveted into position in three places. The pearl is quite thick and the fastening is a small gilt loop. 19th century. They are 3 cm in diameter. ( 1. 25 inches ) In very good condition some rust to the steel but nothing that noticeable and the gilt backing is still bright. No damage to the pearl and all the little loop fastenings are there. The two bottles are fitted into an engraved base ( see photos )

A little cut glass scent bottle of flattened oval shape which will stand upright

The fancy gilt mount has a wing nut which fixes the steel hook into position

Finger ring span just under 5 cm

The lid unscrews and the pierced section unscrews too

It was probably made as a Christmas themed container for a ring or thimble

They are in good order with no damage other than a tiny loss to the tip of the stiletto which could be reshaped

In excellent condition - no damage and the gilding is bright
