It offers a thermal liner on the back of the glove to give more protection against steam burns. CERTIFICATIONS: NFPA 1971 DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION: Glove is a leather five finger, knit wristlet style (5229) comprised of an outer shell, barrier (liquid Fluid), & thermal liner. All liner barrier system seams are sealed with DuPont silicone sealant. The glove has an additional Firewall Steamblock
These limit-use disposable garments are not designed as a primary source of thermal protection and must be worn over suitable flame resistant clothing
