Ruling the RoostDoug LaRue 2014 acrylic on canvas 24 x 36 x 1 in. cat. RTR 14 02 It must have been Kismet when a friend opened a live music venue called The Roost. He hung a large print right over the entrance. Inspired by the lively Texas Music Scene in the 1990s 2000s. We published a magazine called Capitol City A&E and produced documentaries about the Austin music scene and it's musicians. Guitars, microphones and stage monitors help this singing rooster crow.
