A little cut glass scent bottle of flattened oval shape which will stand upright

An interesting piece as the lens doesn't magnify but diminishes

The lid is set with a painted paper cut out of a house and gardens by a river arranged to give a 3D effect and set against a painted sky with birds

A Georgian silver thimble with a band of simple line / chevron engraving and with a steel cap

They are trimmed with faded gold and silver applied paper

The metalwork is unpolished

In 1837 the firm was granted the Royal Warrant for supplying dressing cases to the Royal Family

It is a honey coloured material and can be carved when fresh
