verging on sour lemon mixed with lime and peach towards the finish
grainy tannins and bold freshness
spicy and appealingly fresh nose of mostly white fleshed fruit and citrus aromas gives way to racy
There is better verve to the large-scaled flavors that are not quite as dense as those of the Bressandes but do offer good power on the very firm finish that is again shaped by relatively grippy and inelegant tannins
Aged 15 months in 80% new French oak before blending
an impressive showing
This is my favorite bottle among these new Brunello releases from Fabio Tassi
a hint of animale and an overlay of obvious minerality complements perfectly the rich
