Natrolite (rare crystallized specimen!!)While the California State Gem Mine Dallas Gem Mine is world famous for its stupendous Benitoite crystals, the often ignored species from this locality is the white Natrolite in which the Benitoites are found. As a matter of fact, the Natrolite is often dissolved away with hydrochloric acid in order to expose the Benitoites hidden within. With that said, most of the Natrolite that one will see from this locality is massive, uncrystallized material, so

but my favorite aspect of them is the repeating "fan"-like pattern created by the internal black "phantoms"

This remarkably attractive specimen features beautiful lustrous

there are a few rough spots here and there

whitish yellow “balls” with minor associated Quartz

This specimen is over 30 years old and was part of the best find of the material

and I don’t speak Russian

wedge-shaped crystal of Gypsum (var: "Selenite")

but rather recrystallized on the bottom making it essentially a floater crystal

One of my favorite pieces in the lot especially because the internal clarity is so fine that you can see right through to the insects trapped within
