Joan Miro, AbstractJoan Mir (1893 1983) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist, considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. He was born in Barcelona, Spain, and studied at the School of Fine Arts in the city before moving to Paris in 1920, where he became associated with the Surrealist movement.
