However Prasiolite starts off as purple amethyst which is either naturally heat treated in the earth or once mined. As the stone is heated is transforms from purple amethyst into green Prasiolite. Our handmade Prasiolite stone has been beautifully cut into a pear shape or tear drop shape. The stone has a diamond chequer board pattern on the front and the back of
