SOLD…….A Tunbridge ware kettle shaped pin cushion. c 1870A nice example of a novelty pin cushion in Tunbridge Ware. The body of the piece is made of turned stick ware and has a brass handle with an ebonized wooden grip. The red velvet cushion which forms the lid is the original and even has a little wooden nob. 6 x 5cm with the handle upright. All original and undamaged. Stock no. LC49

The gilding on the brass has tarnished

flattish cut glass scent bottle with a screw on silver lid but no stopper

It is French and dates to circa 1870

They barrels are made of patinated pewter coloured metal

less romantically

The thimble is in excellent condition (no needle holes in the top section) and comes in an old leather thimble case

In excellent condition with some age-related tarnish to the gilt finish

In excellent condition- no losses and just light rust on the backs

The chapes are made of steel and the silver frames very slightly arched The silver is unmarked
