Description
DaugaySweet red and black currant fruit, spice box and herb aromas jump from the glass of this dark plum garnet hued 2008. As in most vintages, this is an equal part blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Soft and complex, it should be consumed over the next 5 6 years.
warm earth and a touch of oak that is followed by rich
Medium body
and pure cassis on the nose – very slick and suave
but it closes down to reveal a tart
Aromas of bright floral red berries
and a touch of menthol on the finish
Long on the palate
The supporting tannins are firm but clearly phenolically mature and this should repay 12 to 15 years of aging
slightly austere style
Hints of figs too
based on the 2015 vintage
all of it backed by a vibrant structure that keeps this fresh and lively
