Le Macchiole Messorio Toscana IGT Tuscany, Italy 2007Le Macchiole is located closed to the Tyrrhenian sea on the outskirts of Bolgheri. The name refers to the farm on which the vineyard was established in 1975. In 1981, dissatisfied with the quality of the wines his father was producing, Eugenio Campolmi decided to plant new vines. After Eugenio tragically passed away, his wife Cinzia took over the reins of the domaine, with the support of oenologist Luca D'Attoma. Wines are vinified in concrete barrels
