The Conversations With MyselfFrom Duncan Stewart: During a particularly difficult season, I found myself in the doldrums of my artistic career. I felt I was in the right vessel, but going nowhere, and I could not see the angel who, during that time, kept me afloat and carried me across some dark oceans. This painting inspired a bronze sculpture with the same title.
