SOLD…….A small engraved and pierced pearl box. c 1820A small pearl box with a decorative sliding lid revealing an oblong space which would have held four pearl whist counters. c 1820 It is extremely pretty with a shaped outline and intricate piercing. The blue one

Adhesion to the glass of the paint is weak so over the years most pieces have lighter areas on the edges which are more obvious when seen at an angle

It is French and dates to circa 1870

A rosewood spool with a tunbridge ware top and bottom

The pages are illustrated with little prints of British stately homes

It has a vertical crease on the title page and a contemporary ink inscription but otherwise is now in good order

The box measures 7 x 6 cmEach stud measures 1 cm in diameter

A little domed box covered in fine straw work

The steel is engraved with birds and foliage and partially gilt

It is in excellent order with no damage and with its original spangle including square cut glass beads
