SOLD…………..An antique facet cut blue glass double ended scent bottle. c 1850..A cobalt blue glass scent bottle with engraved silver gilt lids. c1850 The glass is facet cut and shaped so that it is wider in the middle. One end cap unscrews and the other hinges. The hinged one has a piece of sprung glass in the lid which is the stopper whilst the screw lid has a piece of cork and this section was for smelling salts. It is in excellent condition no damage and with only one facet with any scratching ( see last photo ) The roundels

It is stamped CH for Charles Horner

It has two patterns- a band of stars on a worked background with square dimpling above

935 and has a gilded interior

It is embossed on the base with the words-

it is in excellent condition but minus its stopper

The lid is set with a gilt 3D metal flower basket with coloured highlights
