The Sallyangie - CHILDREN OF THE SUNBrother and Sister folk duo, very much of its time but a 'guilty pleasure' of mine. I saw them live in a small room at our student union in 1968, together with a small group of college mates; I seem to remember (maybe incorrectly!) that we constituted most of the audience. Anyway it was a good set and we were all blown away by the virtuosity of the 17 year guitarist. Hmmm, you may have guessed from the album cover yes, it was the awesome Mike Oldfield

I have always loved this album

Odd that this is the only solo album of his I have on vinyl

but then as I've said before

A very early purchase of one of Americas great pianists and conductors

much has been written about and about the state he was during this period

'Maggies Farm'

he left after this album and BS&T went on quite a different path
