Louis Latour, Corton RougeAn attractively floral suffused nose speaks of plum, earth and a hint of the sauvage. There is good underlying tension and detail if limited concentration to the otherwise delicious flavors that conclude in a mildly drying and austere finale. This is on the lighter side for a Corton though I suspect that it may add weight with a few years of bottle aging.

The spicy and overtly muscular big-bodied flavors display even more minerality on the lush but refined finish that is seriously powerful and persistent

There is a lovely sophistication to the mouth feel of the intensely mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that also possess wonderfully silky tannins though the natural firmness of a fine Fuées makes its presence known on the gorgeously subtle and persistent finish

An exuberantly fresh and spicy nose speaks mostly of green apple and lemon-lime scents

Moving to the Les Quartz Cuvee

Perhaps it's the combination of centenary vines and a warm and dry year that delivered very ripe and concentrated juice

Here too firm reduction knocks down the fruit

mouthwatering finish and will benefit from 2-3+ years in bottle
