In the Gut Giclée PrintIn the Gut is inspired by a lovely black and white photograph taken by George Naas in the early nineteen fifties, of the waterway between an outcropping of rocks and the mainland in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia. Locally it is referred to as the gut. I also think as a title it explains how the community feels about the decline of the fishing that sustained their livelihood since the arrival of settlers on these shores.
