Seeking Far (Petro-Person)This figure is 'gathering from below and from above.' It also contains the symbol for 'journey.' There are more than a few petroglyph figures from this region with the 'gathering' hands, but this one seems to be conveying more excitement and 'movement' in its gathering efforts. Truly a journey of learning.

Light springs forth from my own heart during my journey

One of its meanings is that of a directional indicator

but in petroglyph language of the region such a symbol means war

The figure holds an atlatl (ancient spear throwing device used across the world by many cultures)

In Meso-America

but hundreds of miles away in the mid-west plains area of the United States as well

The interlocked (as if swirling together) lines represent treaty

They denoted the next direction someone could go to find something useful

the manner in which we were raised

Pecked into the rock 'over' these figures are multiple human bare feet prints
